Wall Street closes at a record for the first time since end of January
Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.59% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG), which rose 5.45% or 920.00 points to trade at 17,800.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) added 3.19% or 340.00 points to end at 11,000.00 and Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) was up 2.70% or 200.00 points to 7,600.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Cibest SA (BVC:CIBEST), which fell 2.01% or 1,100.00 points to trade at 53,500.00 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO) declined 0.62% or 200.00 points to end at 32,000.00 and Promigas (BVC:PMG) was down 0.59% or 40.00 points to 6,700.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.19% or 340.00 to 11,000.00.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 3.74% or 11.15 to $308.95 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.12% or 10.00 to hit $8,654.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 4.15 to trade at $3,457.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.07% to 4,044.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.28% to 744.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 98.09.
